David Info
David
Patrick Boreanaz was born on May 16th 1969 in Buffalo, New
York. He is the third child and only son of David Sr. and
Patti. David’s two sisters are Beth and Bo. Beth is
the mother of his niece, Caledonia and his nephew, Griffin.
David and his family moved to Philadelphia when his dad, a
former showman became a tv weatherman for WPVI. David attended
Malvern Prep school where he was on the football team until
a knee injury forced him to give it up. He decided he wanted
to become an actor after his parents took him to see "The
King And I" at the theatre. After he had graduated from
high school, David attended Ithaca college in New York where
he studied for a film degree. After four years of study in
New York and a film degree, David moved to Los Angeles in
the hope of finding work in film production. At first, David
spent most of his time doing jobs such as parking cars, painting
houses, and selling gourmet food door-to-door. However, David's
first job in television and film was as a prop master. After
some confusion on set David ended up in front of the camera
instead of behind, this gave him the inspiration to try acting
as a career.
On Stage, David has performed at the Ensemble Theatre in "Hatful
of Rain", at the Gardner Stage in "Italian-American
Reconciliation" and"Fool for Love", and on
theatre row in "Cowboy Mouth".
In 1993 David appeared in Aspen Extreme and Best of the best
II he appeared as an extra in both films. He also landed his
first television role as Frank in, Married with children for
one episode on the FOX network. During 1994 and 1995 David
appeared in the stage shows Hatful of rain and Italian-American
reconciliation. He also had a series of jobs, which included
parking cars, selling frozen meat and handing out towels at
a health club. In 1996 he performed in an Equity waiver production
of Fool for love. This was also the year that he was signed
by an acting agency,This came about after he was spotted by
the manager of the agency while he was out walking Bertha
Blue. The next day David auditioned for a new series, Buffy
the vampire slayer, which was to be shown on the new WB network.
The character David auditioned for was that of Angel a vampire.
David was chosen and he began filming the next day. The rest
as the saying goes "is history". Buffy the vampire
slayer is a huge success and is gaining more fans everyday
by the third season, David was given his own spin-off show
Angel, which looks likely to follow in the footsteps of Buffy.
In 1998 David became a spokesman for Levi's Original Spin
program, making promotional appearances around America, designing
some custom jeans that were auctioned off to help the organisation
peace 2000.In January 1998, David married Ingrid Quinn, two
years his junior. The petite redhead originated from Ireland,
and was a social worker. The two claimed "love at first
sight", but it was not to last. In 1999, Ingrid left
David and the couple divorced on 10th October 1999. It wasn't
until he was spotted while walking his dog, Bertha Blue, that
his big break came -a manager saw him, signed him, and called
"Buffy" casting director Marcia Schulman to arrange
an audition for the role of Angel. The rest, as they say,
is history! "Angel" is one of the hottest shows
on the WB and is about to enter it's third season. David has
starred in the slasher movie "Valentine" alongside
Denise Richard and Katherine Heigl, and is set to star in
the new movie "I'm With Lucy", co-starring Monica
Potter.On July 14th 2001, on a Californian desert mountaintop,
David proposed to his girlfriend, Playboy model Jaime Bergman.
They married on Thanksgiving weekend 2001 at the Ingleside
Inn in Palm Springs, surrounded by family and friends.
